Taylor: Four Months

Everyone asks me if Taylor was premature--but I feel like she is so huge! But I guess no one has seen her grow the way we have, from 5 lbs to 12 lbs! She's getting big! We love her little smiles. She is a happy happy girl. She really started to giggle this month, it's so fun to make her laugh, she's got ticklish ribs. She loves seeing her mom, dad, and nana because she sees us the most...so she does take some time warming up to people, and can get pretty clingy to mom in big groups.

She can chat your ear off with all kinds of 'ahhhhs', loves to lay on her stomach now and is really good at pushing up on her arms. She loves to hold (and eat) things. She's still an excellent nurser, but gets easily distracted now so I have to take her in a quiet room to make sure she's eating enough.

She did a switch-a-roo on us and decided she was done sleeping through the night, but does have a pretty decent nap schedule. The sleepless nights are killing her mother, who now looks like a zombie half the time (okay most).

She gives her daddy the biggest smiles, the picture above (yes, daddy dressed her) was sent to me while I was at work and they were having some good daddy/daughter bonding time. Josh has also started up Insanity this month and Taylor loves watching him workout (just him, she prefers me to hold her if I try to workout, though I've almost gotten through Yoga).

Her hair bows are getting a little small for her noggin, so I've had to retire quite a few. I'm thinking of making her some, since they don't seem to carry bigger sizes--ones size does not fit all, and I felt bad a few times when I placed a band on her head and it left indents--too tight I say!

This girl enjoys being naked, loves bath time, and hanging out in her diaper. She had a fun mo-hawk going on after a major spit-up, so I needed to take a picture of the cuteness. Still loves to eat her hands, and other peoples!

She is SO CLOSE to rolling from back to belly. She gets stuck on her side quite a bit, which makes her mad. Sometimes she will move in a complete circle on her blanket, trying to get a better view. She still accidentally rolls from tummy to back, but still not intentionally.

Everything goes into the mouth!

Sundays are awful. I very much dislike afternoon church. Sometimes I just don't want to go because every Sunday evening (without fail) this girl has a complete meltdown. She's pretty happy through most of church (often so happy that she's a little too loud and distracting). But during my Sunday School hour (I teach the 12-13 year olds) she usually needs to eat or is really tired and needs to nurse, so I'm often interrupted with a screaming baby (I swear Josh and other substitutes have taught my class more than I have). I practically live in the mother's room through all of church (that's where the above picture was taken, after she had a blow out on her tights...).

It has finally warmed up a bit in Minnesota and we've been able to go on a few walks, she seems to enjoy me wearing her more than the stroller, she loves to be facing out to see the world around her! She's a very active wiggly-worm, legs and arm are always moving when she's awake!

She grabbed her blanket (to put in her mouth) and then started to roll a bit and got all wrapped up. It was super cute, so I had to take a picture. That about sums up this month. This baby girl is such a joy! We love her so so much!
